Dorothy Horton

Dorothy Allene Horton, 97 of North Little Rock passed away Friday, April 12, 2019. She was born in Pine Bluff, AR on December 20, 1921.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell “Bill” Horton; daughter, Maxine Ballentine; and grandson, Jeffrey Jones.  Survivors include, daughter, Barbara Stephens of Little Rock; two granddaughters:  Vickie Burson of Little Rock and Kellie Martin of Morrilton; two grandsons:  David Ballentine of Georgia and Duane Ballentine of Tennessee; and a son-in-law, D.C. Ballentine of Memphis, Tennessee.

Dorothy lived a long and good life, one filled with many privileges.  She loved to travel and had many pictures and memories of her travels around the world.  She loved to surround herself with beautiful things and was always impeccably well-dressed.

We, her family, are very thankful for the last gift she was given.  She enjoyed a beautiful morning on Friday and decided to take a nap and she continues to rest peacefully.

We would like to thank the staff of Woodland Hills Nursing & Rehab, Jacksonville, for their outstanding care and the assistance they have shown over the past few years of caring for Dorothy.  We will never forget all you’ve done!  The Horton Family

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas, with grandson-in-law, Nils Burson officiating.
