Donald Lock

Donald Lock, age 55, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015. He was born on November 9, 1959, in Hot Springs, the son of Richard Joseph Lock and Audrey Carolyn Pounds Lock. On October 17, 1981, he married the love of his life, Susan Slagle. He was a deacon and dedicated member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, he obtained an Associates Degree as an electronics technician/electrician and worked for Bean Lumber, Georgia Pacific, Travis Lumber Company and West-Frazier Lumber Company. He had a passion for collecting and tinkering with tractors; was a third degree black belt; and an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, who cherished spending time with his family, especially during their monthly family gatherings. Above all, Donald, loved and served his Lord and Savior and throughout all his struggles his faith never faltered. He was the true meaning of a strong and faithful Christian man. He is survived by his wife, Susan Lock of Glenwood; his three sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan Lock of Royal, Brant and Hope Lock of Pearcy and Adam and Jenna Lock of Royal; his three precious grandchildren who brought him so much joy, Cassey Lock, Kirstyn Lock and Dawson Lock; his parents, Richard and Carolyn Lock of Glenwood; his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sonya Lock and Billy and Paula Lock, all of Glenwood and Ben and Angela Lock of Hopper; his sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Arlie Francis of Glenwood; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of wonderful and loving friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2015, in the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Tidwell and Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Adam Lock, Ryan Lock, Brant Lock, Justin Lock, Josh Francis and Kirk Fellows. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert and Susan Travis, their sons, John, Jr. and James, and their families; the employees of West-Frazier Lumber Company, Chuck Golden, Todd Robbins, Bruce and Angie Stearns, Amy Southall and family, Bill and Sharon Libbert, and his loving and caring Mt.
