Donald E. Hogue passed from this life into the next, surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of North Little Rock. They were married on April 6, 1994.
Their family includes Don’s son, Bruce “Skipper” Hogue, who precedes him in death; his daughter, Donna Johnson of North Little Rock; children, Joe (Peggy) Brewczynski, Alan (Susan) Brewczynski, Regina Henry and Sara Henry, all of North Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren (one grandson deceased); sixteen great grandchildren; eleven brothers and sisters (all siblings preceding him in death).
Don was a proud veteran who served our country for 44 years in three separate branches of the Armed Forces: Navy, Army and National Guard. Don was a man of numerous talents and was so proud of the family that had grown around him. He loved being outside and was an accomplished woodworker. Don also loved his church and had a strong relationship with his Lord. Don will be greatly missed by the congregation that he was so loved by.
The family and friends of Don, though they mourn his passing, are calmed by the fact he is at peace and is always loved and remembered.
Honorary pallbearers are: Josh Henry, Josh Miller, Brian Billingsley, Larry Berry, Blake Hogue, Eric Hogue, and Joe Brewczynski.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, February 3, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
