Darla Piper

Darla Sue Piper, 58, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on May 21, 2021. She was born on January 15, 1963 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Manda Cook Shetler and the late David Shetler.

Darla is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Piper; children, Brandon (Kerri) Jones, Logan (Lance) Kloker; two grandchildren, Eva and Daisy; mother, Manda Shetler; siblings, David Shetler, Donna (Dan) Jayroe, and Dena Shetler; mother-in-law, Kathy Piper; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was a graduate of McRae High School, was a volunteer firefighter for Runyan Acres Fire Department. Darla worked for Performance Food Group and Haynie Company.  She was a gourmet cook, loved the beach and enjoyed collecting carousels. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her granddaughters. Darla was a member of the Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Pallbearers include Gerald Tucker, Mark Cook, Robert Bonner, Dustin Terry, Dustin Jayroe and John Adams.  Honorary Pallbearers are Lance Kloker and Roland Harris.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery in Beebe.
