On Saturday January 15, Clara Lou Sentell (Henderson), loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 87. Clara was born in Searcy, Arkansas to John William Henderson and Effie Cora Person. Her parents raised her in Garner and then Beebe, Arkansas.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Kay) Sentell, Phil (Angie) Sentell; five grandchildren, Chad (Summer) Sentell, Natasha (Josh) Sentell Weathers, Shauna (Spencer) Sentell Davis, Jacob Sentell, and Tyler (Amanda) Thompson; eight great-grandchildren and a wealth of nieces, nephews and great friends.
Clara married James Sentell on June 6, 1953 upon his return from the Korean War. They were married sixty-seven years at his passing in 2020. They moved to California and in 1958 returned to Arkansas to settle in Beebe where James became a lifelong business owner of Sentell TV & Appliances. Clara raised a family and started a career at Suburban Casual where she became the Plant Manager.
She loved dancing with her husband, traveling and camping throughout the United States, fishing and sewing. Clara lived her life dedicated to her family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beebe.
Visitation is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18th at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Services on Wednesday, January 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Smith-Westbrook.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the First United Methodist Church, 302 N. Main, Beebe, Arkansas 72012.
