Carol Parten

Carol Cresap Parten, 81, formerly of Russellville, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1938 in Athens, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Cresap; brother, Charles; sisters, Miriam Schlicht and Priscilla Molter; as well as her granddaughter, Michelle Ann Parten.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Parten; children, Kit (Penny) Parten of Midland, TX; Howard (Kelli) Parten of Redmond, OR; and Elizabeth (Willie) Elizandro of Cabot. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christopher of Denton, TX; Katelyn of Klamath Falls, OR; John of Redmond, OR; and her sister, Gertrude Malbis of Daphne, AL.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Pope County Library. A private service will be held at a later time.
