Carol Ann Japhet Garver, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Hot Springs. She was born October 11, 1935 to Virgil Japhet and Dorothy Hodges Allen. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was instrumental in organizing the church choir. Carol loved to cook, sew and crochet. She was a lover of all types of animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, David Garver.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Garver; her children, Tamara Call of Topeka, Kansas, Steven Garver and wife Sandra of Iola, Kansas, Susan Garver of Gas, Kansas and Sandra Garver Ryman and husband, Russell of Iola, Kansas; one sister, Peggy Japhet Carter of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; a niece, Deborah Hanna and husband George; a nephew, Jeffrey Ralston and wife Ginny; several great nieces, nephews and cousins; her two fur babies, Harvey and Bonnie.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 27th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Todd Franks and Ray Franklin officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Monday until service at the church.
Burial will be at 11:00 Am Wednesday, November 29th at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
