Bobby Neldon
Bobby Gene Neldon, 72, of Mayflower, passed away September 29, 2014. He was born in Newport, Arkansas to George H. and Nellie Jane Turnbough Neldon and was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He built a small shrimp boat and learned the art of shrimping which he thoroughly enjoyed. In 1986 he got his pilot's license and bought a small airplane, flying around the southeast to attend fly-ins and air shows.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Ratana Neldon; children, Angela Lewis of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ranee Jones (Thomas) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Tony Neldon (Joann) of Phenix City, Alabama, and Panee Padovan of West Palm Beach, Florida; brother, George G. Neldon, Jr. of Augusta, Arkansas; sister, Carolen Duncan of Searcy, Arkansas; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services with Military Honors will be Tuesday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Dr. Bob Dunaway.
