Benny Earl Brigman, 83, of Benton, Arkansas passed away November 25, 2017. He was born October 29, 1934 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Algie and Marie Wages Brigman.
Benny served in the United States Navy during the Korean War where he was awarded the national Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, and the China Service Medal. He was a graduate of Benton High School. Benny played the trumpet and loved music. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and VFW.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Algie and Marie Brigman; and biological father, Earl McIntosh.
He leaves to cherish his memory five children: Benny Barrow and wife Melissa of Jacksonville, Florida, Betty Larsen and husband Gary of Murrieta, California, Nick Brigman and wife Karen of Chantilly, Virginia, Paul Bashihua of Pasadena, California, and Aaron Brigman and wife Amber of Mabelvale, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Shawn Hansen, Trevor Barrow, Landon Barrow, Brianna Brigman, Hunter Brigman, Aaron Seth Brigman, James Brigman, and Arianna Brigman; one great-grandson, Erick Hansen; two sisters: Pat Brumley of Benton, Arkansas and Theresa Oden and husband Doyle of Alexander, Arkansas; special friend, Patsy Smith and a host of family and friends who love Benny and will miss him always.
Reception visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, December 1, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Doyle Oden, Jr., will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 2, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
