Barbara Clay Hill, 79, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was born September 22, 1942 in Joy, Arkansas to Ervin and Opal Holden Clay.
She worked as a seamstress at a Shoe and Shirt Factory, the Court House in Searcy and was an Insurance Adjustor for Union Standard Insurance Company. Everyone loved her cooking, especially her fried pies. She was also known for decorating cakes for special occasions.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald Hill; five children: Richard Hill, Renee (Steve) Hand, Nathan (Marcia) Clark, Elizabeth (Matt) Stone and John Hill; and ten grandchildren: Anthony Hill, Stephanie (Steve) Garner, Amanda (Jake) Collins, Madison Clark, Caleb Hill, Kristyn Hill, Sarah Hill, Landon Hill, Callie (Patrick) Cook and Montgomery David; great-grandchildren, Ryder Cook, Case Cook, Clayton Cook and Tripp Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Wayne, Leon and James Clay.
She enjoyed embroidering special works of art for those she loved as well as making beautiful cakes for special occasions. Most of all, she enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior.
A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 6th at the church. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church , 11923 Zion Hill Road, Cabot, Arkansas.
